Hi my name is Leah Helman, I am 16 years old. I chose to study media because I have an interest in editing, filming and staring in movies. I find it interesting to learn about how a movie is filmed and why either certain locations or props are used for movies/programmes.
My favourite movie is Divergent the reason that I enjoy this movie is because I have a keen interest in Science Fiction action movies because I like intelligence in a movie and suspense, furthermore my favourite TV show is Greys Anatomy, this is because I also enjoy medical based programmes as watching incidents that can be related to real life issues interests me.
As part of media I enjoy listening to music for example Bastille. This is because they're a band whos music is really enjoyable to listen too.
Other than Media I am studying sociology and btec business. I chose sociology because it partly links with media as we learn all about how media affects society which I also find intriguing aswell as learning how to film and edit.
I really like travelling to different countries I've been to many places in California such as San Francisco and Yosemite, I have gone on the Skywalk in Grand Canyon and further visited places in Florida such as Miami and Orlando and as part of this I felt like by doing media it will help me to keep on travelling as I can film my different holidays and hope to make them into a movie in the future.
