Change on our original idea

As a group we have come to a conclusion that we would like to change our idea. We feel this as we thought of a different idea that would work better. Our new idea is based on an infectious disease that is constantly spreading. Different shots will be shown showing people coughing, sweating and all sorts to prove they are unwell. Shots will also been shown showing people touching door handles, and then giving it to other people as they touch it. We feel this is a good idea as different shots can be shown and it can be a very effective for a thriller sequence. There are many real life situations, which are similar to this which could scare people into believing our storyline. 

Editing techniques

Camera time	When the camera focuses on a particular camera for a length of time to demonstrate emotion or seriousness

Jump cut	Cutting out the middle section of a shot
Cross cutting	Cutting back and forth between two or more scenes happening simultaneously
Dissolve	One shot fades out as the next shot fades in
Fade out/Fade in	Image fades out to a blank screen, or fades in from a blank screen
Slow motion	What it says
Long take	A single continuous shot that does not cut for an unusual length of time
Fast paced/Slow paced editing	Editing is fast paced
