IDEOLOGIES OF CREATIVITY ORGANIC AND SYNTHETIC ARTISTS

-These ideologies shape the way in which the artists images and careers are developed and the way that they are marketed towards specific target audiences

Organic artists

Developed over time and they are musicians they are musicians who write there own songs they are not manufactured by there own record companies. Get to develop there own image and focus on live performance.
These type of artists tend to have longer careers and are focused on a matura audience. 

EXAMPLES

- Ed Sheeran, The beatles, Elvis, Arctic monkeys, Chance the rapper, Eminem

Synthetic Ideology of Creativity 2

- Emphasis is given to playlist, TV promotion and looks to promoting first albums. Essentially all X factor winners. 
- Often aimed at younger, less sophisticated audiences
-Profits generated by this kind of artist tend to be part of an immediate short term strategy by the record company
